WELCOME TO

NSW SLASA

Contributing to the development of  a multicultural society.

NSW SLASA has been serving the CALD communities since 1978. Initially and a for a few years we were an ethnic specific organization working mainly with the Spanish speaking communities in NSW.

But, like any other community based organization we have experienced changes as the whole community sector has experiences during the last few years. We have survived policy changes that tent to favor big corporations or organizations affecting grass roots organization like us.

Living and working in a multicultural society

We are a non for profit community-based organization that has experienced changes over the years. In Australia, we have adapted to the complexity of a multicultural society. Particularly in Western Sydney, where there is a large group of migrants and refugees with little to no English background.

In this age, we are not only a community organization serving the Spanish speaking communities, we provide holistic programs and activities targeting all culturally and diverse communities living in South West Sydney. It's a change that demands an effort to improve relationships and community harmony.

Contributing to the development of our society

NSW SLASA has been serving the CALD communities since 1978. Initially, we were an ethnic-specific organization working mainly with the Spanish speaking communities in NSW.

But, like any other community-based organization, we have experienced changes during the last few years. We have survived policy changes that tend to favour big corporations which affect minor organizations like NSW SLASA.

We are an agency that does not solely assist the Spanish speaking community, but an organisation devoted to assisting the CALD group. We are committed and determined to create a better intercontinental society.

Throughout our 43 years, there have been countless achievements and there isn’t enough time to name all of it. We can confidently say that NSW SLASA continues to be engaged and an active organisation. We are very proud of the countless contributions made to the social, cultural, political and economic development of the Australian society.
